Ali Mobasser (Maryland, 1976) is a London-based artist whose work draws on personal experiences exploring themes of identity and displacement. His series Stamps of a Revolution documents a collection of stamps from letters and packages received from family in Iran while living in exile as a child. The images enabled him to have a direct connection to Iran, a place he longed to know and which he finally visited in 2017.
Mobasser received his B.A. in Fine Arts from Kingston University, Surrey. He won the “Lensculture Emerging Talent” award (2014) and has exhibited in London, Barcelona and Los Angeles.
